We are so very proud to announce our partnership with Food For Thought on their upcoming event, Rock-A-Belly!
Rock-A-Belly Festival is a hunger awareness event and fundraiser for Food For Thought Denver. Locally, Food For Thought Denver already makes a great impact addressing the hunger issues of children across our communities. They have provided thousands of “PowerSacks” to over 1,200 Denver Public School students and their families! Each Friday, they fill “Powersacks” with enough food to feed a family of four for the weekend. They distribute these bags to the students of elementary schools like Columbian, Greenlee, Fairview and Garden Place. Each of these particular schools qualifies for free and subsidized breakfast and lunch programs, and over 95% of the students enrolled are living below poverty level. Many of these students often come to school hungry on Monday mornings due to a lack of adequate nutritious food over the weekend.

On October 11th at Turnhalle at Tivoli, participants will come together at this one-day event to pack 100,000 meals that will go directly to Global Hunger Relief as well as help raise money for Food For Thought – Denver. Global Hunger Relief-funded projects combat hunger in North America and around the world in a wide variety of ways, from disaster relief to addressing chronic hunger, from eliminating urban food deserts to helping women rescued from sex trafficking—and much more. GHR is one of the most effective channels for donating toward the global hunger crisis. Throughout the entire event there will be live music and food to enjoy! Once the packing sessions are complete, participants and guests will get to enjoy exclusive tastings from 11 of Denver’s top chefs as well as brews provided by Tivoli Brewing Company, finished with an awesome concert! Needless to say, we can’t wait. What can be better than a great cause, great music and great food, all under the same roof!
